This website was created with the intention of providing phototours of all remaining and current items related to the Welland Canals. Having been around for 180 years, the Welland Canal not only is a major source of industry but also of interest and... fascination.

Over the past few years, we have photographed what remains of the historical Welland Canals, as well as the current Welland Canal and placed them here so that not only can they be preserved in picture format but also may encourage others to take up the fight to perserve an important part of our local history.

Right now there is a major push to get the Welland Canals designated as a Historical Corridor and with the effect that it has had here in the Niagara Region, we should all do our part to help preserve it not only for ourselves, but for our future generations. The historical canals are starting to crumble around us and if something is not done soon, they may be lost to the ravages of time.
